HBO's The Last of Us Announces Major Casting News - IGN The Fix: Entertainment

In today’s Fix of entertainment news, HBO’s The Last of Us has revealed some big casting news. The actors for Sam and Henry have been confirmed, and if you’ve played the game, you know they play a pivotal role in Ellie’s emotional journey. That’s not all, two new characters have been revealed, created specifically for this live-action adaptation. How they fit into the overall narrative is unknown, so we’ll have to wait until the series lands on HBO and HBO Max in 2023.

In superhero movie news, Black Adam has a post-credits scene! No real surprise there, but apparently it ties the Dwayne Johnson movie into the wider DC Universe. Does this mean a Shazam appearance? Maybe a showdown with Superman? Who knows?!

And Peter Jackson really wanted to forget he made The Lord of the Rings movie trilogy. The acclaimed director wanted to experience the series purely as a fan, and not have the baggage of being the director/co-producer/co-writer attached to it.

What movie would you like to forget you’ve seen just so you could experience it for the first time again? Let us know in the comments!
